Session 13

Bessie the Ankylosaurus

The party is offered resting accommodations in Tony's room, but Suzy is dissatisfied with the pubescent boy smell. Instead they long rest in Nana's room, oblivious to the old lady smell.

The next morning, Suzy notices that the mural now shows her new tattoo, and that the mural Suzy has a blue gi instead of orange.

The party is given a map, and opts to quest east to visit the elves first. They are asked to take trading supplies to the elves, and to bring back goods from the elves or whichever communities they visit afterwards: They are given rolls of dinosaur pelts and an ankylosaur, Bessie, to carry them. Bessie takes them on the road to the elves which goes through the ruins.

The portal arch isn't noticed this session: instead the party enters a giant pyramid, which has four enormous openings at the corners. It is completely dark inside, so Abra Cadaver casts Light and Zad passes around some torches. By this light the party discovers a still lake in the center of the empty space inside the pyramid.

At the lakeshore:

• Abra Cadaver voices that he looks for a fishing rod, and immediately finds one.
• Waldo voices that he wants to look for footprints, and immediately finds some (combat clogs), which the party follows all around the lake.
• Suzy voices that she's looking for an orange bow, having seen the clog footprints, and immediately finds one.
• Abra Cadaver makes a pun, saying Suzy should shoot an arrow with her bow. Suzy's new bow becomes an archery bow.
• Suzy wades in to the lake to her crotch and withdraws.
• Abra Cadaver voices that they're going to find alternate dimension versions of themselves, and a light is seen across the lake. Ziti chucks a torch toward the light, and before it submerges it illuminates an island in the middle of the lake.
• Abra Cadaver puts his head under water and hears a song that he knows he's heard before: Mad Gay. He voices this to the group and immediately two angry gay mermen attack the party Ziti dispatches them with a ball of lightning.
• The party splits and circumnavigates the lake to approach the light on the other side, to discover Dead Suzy.

Dead Suzy explains that she's been repeatedly resurrected by Abra Cadaver several times and has been waiting here to intercept her past self. She and her party had completed the mural quest and reentered the portal to go back to the future, but instead of being sent forward thousands of years, they were sent back in time thousands of years. She thinks the Sparrows, or Toby the Tamahuran (or both), are responsible for the fuckup, and is willing to work with the party to do it right this time.

She claims that her Abra is buried by trees that look like ABC up in the mountains by the dwarf village; Waldo got resurrected and blew away in the sunlight; Zad got eaten by dinosaurs; BlazeDragon went missing before he could be resurrected; and as far as she knows the resurrected Ziti might still be out there somewhere.

The party follows Dead Suzy out of the pyramid into the moonlit night.
