About Blue Mountains
Hi Guys,
Only if you really think about Blue Mountains tour?! We have more detailed information about Leura
Something truly special lies within Blue Mountains National Park that seeps right into your soul. Perhaps it’s the eucalyptus trees throwing a blue haze across the ridges, or the sandstone walls burning orange at dusk while cockatoos call out across the ridges. Whatever it is, every time I head west from Sydney Harbour toward the mountains’ fading light, I’m reminded why this World Heritage Listed National Park is one of Australia’s most beautiful landscapes.
I’ve been showing visitors the magic of this region — from Echo Point and the Three Sisters to underground cave systems to open valleys — for years, and trust me, the Blue Mountains are more than a day trip. They’re a natural reset button for anyone coming from Sydney, a natural cathedral of sandstone cliffs, waterfalls and gum-scented air.
Only an hour and a half west of Sydney via the Great Western Highway, the Blue Mountains is part of the UNESCO-listed Greater Blue Mountains. It’s over one million hectares of preserved wilderness, extending right out to Wollemi National Park. It’s a mix of ancient rock formations, lush forests and deep ravines, habitat for more than 400 native animal species, including lyrebirds, wallabies and the occasional shy dingo.
